We visited Zion National Park in early November.  What an absolutely beautiful place to hike.

This was an exercise to challenge my friend Pat. I only had one apple and a few oranges on hand so made the most of them. I enjoyed painting them and I hope she did as well.

This vase was made by my husband Dennis.  It has a beautiful blue glaze and I thought it looked so nice on the counter near the window with the sunlight giving it a beautiful shadow.

I found the shapes and colors of the derelict buildings and rusting equipment of the Colorado mines to be full of inspiration. I am currently working on several paintings from the San Juan Mountains and will post them as I complete them.
